Swimming Paradise this 2022 in Singapore

Swimming Paradise this 2022 in Singapore

Singapore has the third-highest population density in the world, after only Macau and Monaco. Singapore offers an abundance of swimming pools, in addition to fantastic hawker cuisine and towering buildings. With low-cost entrance, public swimming pools in Singapore, some with waterslides and some without, are ideal locations to cool down in the summer and keep the youngsters occupied. Thanks to the Singapore Government, the autonomous island city-state is sprinkled with some amazingly-equipped public swimming pools, so you can have a "splashing-good" time while remaining clear of sand and filth.

Consider some of Singapore's best public swimming pools:

OCBC Aquatic Centre- The OCBC Aquatic Centre is a fantastic indoor public swimming pool that, as a 3000 seat world-class facility, organizes several regional and international championships. If you're searching for a spot in Singapore to perform some lap training, this is the place to go. You can swim in a training pool or a competitive pool; try both. This facility is preferred by recreational swimmers since it allows them to swim in a safe setting. This FINA international standards pool is home to the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) and the location for the 28th South-East Asian Games 2015 and the 5th Fina Juniors Swimming Championships 2015.

Pasir Ris Swimming Complex- This public swimming facility, housed in the relatively new Pasir Ris Sports Centre, offers a wide range of aquatic amenities, including a competitive pool, a smaller teaching pool, a fun pool for youngsters, and even two waterslides for thrill seekers. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, there is a jacuzzi for parents and dads looking to catch their breath and relax in a pleasant setting. This award-winning swimming facility is also designed with ecologically friendly and energy-saving elements including a rainwater-harvesting system to nourish surrounding plants, vertical 'green' walls, landscaping that decreases ambient heat gain, and spectacular solar cells for electricity generation.

Wild Wild Wet- You can expect to enjoy a wet and wild time at Wild Wild Wet by participating in numerous water sports. Wild Wild Wet is Singapore's largest water theme park, located in Pasir Ris in NTUC Downtown East. Four-story slides, high-speed flume rides, ladders, water cannons, fountains, and other attractions are available. This aquatic paradise with everything for everyone will not bore you! The pool is one of the most popular attractions in the area, and it was awarded one of the Top 5 Water Parks in Asia by TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice in 2019 and 2020. It was also a Travellers' Choice Top 10 award winner from 2014 to 2016.

Tampines Swimming Complex- Tampines Swimming Complex rounds off our list of east coast swimming locations. The simpler old-school vibes and open layout of this facility are one of its primary appeals, making it a fantastic location to relax and soak up some sun. The views of the city are another element that sets this place apart from many others. Because of the huge lap pool, you won't have to compete for space or risk accidently kicking someone else while practicing your strokes. There are six pools to pick from, as well as a Jacuzzi and a lovely garden-themed kids wading pool with water fountains, water play tables, water spray guns, and a little waterfall.

SAFRA Yishun- Safra Yishun is a beauty in the North-hidden East, offering family-friendly amenities in a resort-like location. The facility has an unusual pool architecture that allows virtually all of the different water areas to be linked via water linkways. There's no need to wear flip flops to avoid burnt feet or hop over the scorching hot tile floors to the next pool. Splash around with your bestie next to the full-sized lap pool, complete with rock features and built-in slides. The kiddie pool has a pirate motif with a slide for youngsters. It's worth mentioning that you'll need at least one SAFRA member to sign you in as a visitor if you want to soak up the rays in this swimming pool.

Sengkang Swimming Complex- Sengkang Sports Centre, formerly known as Sengkang Sport and Recreation Centre, is a public swimming complex maintained by Sport Singapore, situated at 57 Anchorvale Road. The eight water slides will keep you entertained for the whole of the afternoon. Children, teens, and adults will all adore them. Some wrap around in circles for the adult slide, while others provide a stomach-churning free-fall sensation on the slides for the kids. In addition to the jacuzzi, there are two large Olympic-sized swimming pools. The facility features 5 swimming pools for the entire family's enjoyment, making it one of the most popular destinations to cool off on a hot weekend.
